Byrdie

Byrdie is sensitive and quiet, and she prefers her people to others. She is small, classic black and white markings, with a medium rough coat, dark brown eyes, ears that pop straight up when she’s excited, and flop down when she’s relaxed.

She is low-med drive, easy and laid back in the house, but always ready for a game of ball, a hike or a speedy partner on mountain bike rides in our woods. She’s a cinch to train, as she’s always watching to see see what you think and is directed or redirected with barely a whisper. We don’t use her on stock, but she comes from a long pedigree of excellent herders. She was a great first time mama easily birthing her twelve(!) pups and nursing virtually non-stop for weeks on end.

Byrdie is AKC registered and comes from a long lineage of ABCA / AKC registered dogs.

Gilley

Gilley is a high drive, fun loving guy who loves anyone and everyone. He has been our right hand man on the farm for the last seven years.

The word "gillie" comes from the Scottish Gaelic word "gille," meaning "boy" or "lad," and originally referred to a young male servant.  We consider our Gilley more of a VP of all things livestock for us.

Gilley lives his best life in the summer when we welcome hundreds of people each weekend to enjoy dinner on the farm. He’s the star of the evening playing ball, running through the fields with a stream of kids in his wake, and snacking on shared pizza crusts. He is a large border collie with long rough coat, classic black and white markings, flopped ears, and warm brown eyes. He loves baby kittens, chicks, piglets, and ducklings and is always gentle with them.

Gilley is ABCA & AKC registered with a long lineage of impressive ABCA working dogs.
